+Seven years. We opened in 2018 and have been building a practice — and a community — ever since. Our longevity in the Lagos aesthetics market reflects consistent results, honest medicine, and patients who return and refer their friends.
Who founded BluOrchid Aesthetics?
+BluOrchid Aesthetics was founded by Dr. Gladys Emokpaire-Oni — known to our patients as Dr. Gigi. She is a licensed medical doctor who specialises in facial profile enhancement, anti-ageing medicine, and medical weight loss. Her philosophy: understand the patient first, treat the structure, and recommend only what genuinely serves the person in front of you.

Is BluOrchid certified?
+Yes. We are NAFDAC approved and HEFAMAA certified. We also operate a UK-accredited CPD Aesthetics Training Academy. Our certifications reflect the clinical and regulatory standards we hold ourselves to every day.
What are your opening hours?
+We are open Monday to Saturday. Specific hours are confirmed at the time of booking. Message us on Instagram @bluorchid_aesthetics or through our booking page for current availability.
Do you offer home visits or mobile treatments?
+No. All treatments are conducted in our clinic under controlled medical conditions. Aesthetic medicine requires a proper clinical environment — appropriate lighting, sterile conditions, emergency protocols, and the equipment to manage any unforeseen situation. We do not perform treatments outside of our clinic for patient safety reasons.

8 questionsWhat is the consultation and what does it involve?
+HUUUUIThe consultation is an hour-long medical appointment with one of our licensed doctors. Your doctor will take a full history, assess your facial structure using the Golden Ratio methodology, evaluate your skin and any relevant body concerns, and build a personalised treatment plan specific to your anatomy and your goals. Full pricing is presented transparently. No decision needs to be made on the day.
How much does the consultation cost?
+₦50,000. This fee is credited in full toward your first treatment at Bluorchid. If you proceed with any treatment — on the day or at any future appointment — the ₦20,000 counts toward the cost. Effectively, the consultation is free if you decide to go ahead.
Is the ₦50,000 consultation fee refundable?
+The consultation fee is non-refundable if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or fail to attend without prior communication. We understand that circumstances change — please contact us as early as possible if you need to reschedule and we will always do our best to accommodate you.
Do I need to prepare anything before my consultation?
+Nothing. You do not need to research treatments in advance, prepare questions, or know what you want. Your doctor will guide the entire conversation. Come as you are.
Will I be pressured to book a treatment at my consultation?
+Never. This is one of our most important commitments. Your plan will be presented, priced, and explained — and you are free to leave, think it over, and return whenever you are ready. Some patients book on the day. Others return weeks later. Both are completely fine.
Can I consult about multiple concerns in one appointment?
+Yes. One hour is designed to cover everything on your mind. Your doctor will prioritise the concerns most relevant to your goals and give you a sequenced plan that addresses them appropriately.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
+An accurate facial assessment requires your doctor to see you in person — proportion, texture, and movement cannot be properly evaluated on a screen. For initial questions, you are welcome to message us on Instagram before booking. Full consultations are conducted in-clinic.
What should I wear to my consultation?
+Whatever you are comfortable in. If you are coming for a skin or facial consultation, minimal or no makeup helps your doctor assess your skin more accurately — but it is not required.

+Facial Profiling is our term for the category of treatments that address the structure, proportion, and definition of the face — including injectables (Botox and dermal fillers), PDO thread lifts, and other techniques that work with the face's underlying anatomy to restore balance, definition, and a naturally refreshed appearance.
What is the Golden Ratio method?
+The Golden Ratio (φ 1.618) is the mathematical principle of natural proportion — found in nature, classical art, and beautiful faces throughout history. Our doctors map your facial geometry before any treatment is recommended, identifying where your face is in balance and where it has shifted. This produces treatment plans that enhance rather than alter, resulting in outcomes that look natural rather than done.
What is Botox and how does it work?
+Botox (botulinum toxin) is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for expression lines. When injected precisely and in measured doses, it softens forehead lines, crow's feet, frown lines, and other dynamic wrinkles without freezing natural expression. Results appear within 7–14 days and last 3–6 months.
What is Masseter Botox?
+Masseter Botox involves injecting Botox into the masseter muscle — the large jaw muscle. It slims the jaw, reduces teeth grinding, and creates a more refined oval facial silhouette. One of the most transformative single-injection treatments available, with results lasting 6–9 months.
What are dermal fillers?
+Dermal fillers are injectable gels — typically hyaluronic acid-based — used to restore volume, define contours, and address areas of structural loss. At Bluorchid they are placed according to Golden Ratio principles, restoring what age or genetics has altered. Results last 9–18 months depending on the product and area treated.
What is Meso Botox?
+Meso Botox delivers micro-doses of Botox just beneath the skin's surface across the face. Unlike standard Botox, it does not freeze muscle movement — instead it tightens pores, reduces surface oiliness, and creates a general refinement of skin texture. The skin looks better without looking treated.
What is a PDO Thread Lift?
+PDO (polydioxanone) threads are fine dissolvable sutures inserted beneath the skin using small needles. They physically lift and reposition tissue immediately, and as they dissolve over months, they stimulate collagen production so results continue to improve. No surgery. No general anaesthesia. No incisions. Results last 12–24 months.
What is a PDO Nose Lift?
+A non-surgical rhinoplasty using PDO threads to reposition the nasal tip — creating a cleaner profile without surgery. Results are immediate and last 12–18 months.
What is a PDO Double Chin Lift?
+Thread technology applied beneath the chin and along the jawline to lift and tighten the skin — removing the softness that blurs the jaw and chin profile. Effective for women who want jaw definition without surgery.
How do I know which facial treatment is right for me?
+This is precisely what a consultation is for. Our doctors will assess your face, understand your goals, and tell you exactly what will serve you — and what will not. We never recommend a menu. We recommend a specific, sequenced plan.

What is Mounjaro and how does it work?
+Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist — the most clinically effective weight management medication currently available. It targets two hormonal pathways simultaneously, regulating appetite, gastric emptying, and insulin sensitivity. Clinical trials showed average weight loss of 15–22% of total body weight over 72 weeks. At Bluorchid, Mounjaro is prescribed, administered, and monitored by our doctors.
Is Mounjaro safe?
+Yes — when prescribed and supervised by a medical doctor. At Bluorchid, no patient receives Mounjaro without a prior consultation and clinical assessment. We monitor every patient throughout their programme and adjust dosage based on their response. We do not recommend obtaining or self-administering Mounjaro without medical supervision.
Who is a good candidate for Mounjaro?
+Patients who have struggled to achieve or maintain weight loss through conventional methods, patients with a significant amount of weight to lose, and patients who want medically supported weight management. Suitability is determined at consultation based on your health history, current medications, and clinical profile.
What is Emsculpt?
+Emsculpt uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to generate approximately 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions in a single 30-minute session while simultaneously reducing fat in the treated area. Clinical studies show an average of 19% fat reduction and 16% increase in muscle thickness after a full course. No pain, no needles, no recovery.
What is Injection Lipolysis?

How long does the weight loss programme take?

Will the weight come back after treatment?
+The fat cells destroyed by injection lipolysis do not return. Mounjaro results are maintained as long as the hormonal environment supports them — your doctor will advise on long-term strategy. Our goal is always sustainable change, not temporary results.

What is Cosmelan Peel?
+Cosmelan is the global gold standard for treating hyperpigmentation and melasma. It works at the enzymatic level — inhibiting melanin production at its source rather than bleaching the surface. Available in clinics across 70 countries, it produces documented, lasting results for stubborn pigmentation.
What is PRX Microneedling?
+PRX Microneedling uses trichloroacetic acid and hydrogen peroxide delivered via microneedles to stimulate deep collagen production without significant surface damage. It improves scarring, laxity, and skin quality progressively across a course of sessions. Mild redness for 24–48 hours only.
What is the Vampire Facial?

What is Ultherapy / HIFU?

What IV therapies do you offer?

What is Thermiva?
+Thermiva is a non-surgical radiofrequency treatment for vaginal laxity and dryness. Non-invasive, painless, and effective for women experiencing changes from childbirth, hormonal shifts, or ageing. Many of our patients describe it as privately life-changing.
What is PRP Hair Restoration?
+PRP is extracted from your own blood and injected into the scalp at follicle level. Growth factors stimulate dormant follicles and extend the active growth phase of existing hair. Results develop gradually over 3–6 months. A course of 3–4 sessions is recommended.

+A doctor-curated range including face serums, moisturisers, cleansers, toners, chemical peels, body lotions, body oils, bath products, and supplements. Every product is selected by our medical team for clinical efficacy — not trend or commission.
Can I order products online?
+Yes. Products can be ordered through our shop page or directly via WhatsApp. We deliver within Lagos. Your order will be confirmed and payment details shared within 2–4 hours.
How do I know which products are right for my skin?
+The most accurate answer comes from a consultation. Our doctors will assess your skin and tell you exactly which products suit your skin type and treatment plan. Many patients are surprised by how little they actually need.
Are your products suitable for Nigerian and African skin tones?
+Every product in our collection has been selected with our patient base in mind — women across the full spectrum of Nigerian and African skin tones. We do not stock products inappropriate for melanin-rich skin.
Can I return a product?
+For hygiene and safety reasons, opened products cannot be returned. Unopened products may be returned within 7 days of delivery in their original condition. Please contact us before returning any product.

What qualifications do your doctors have?
+Our doctors are fully licensed medical practitioners registered with the relevant Nigerian medical authorities, with additional training and certification in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Gigi, our founder, is a specialist in facial profile enhancement, anti-ageing medicine, and medical weight loss with seven years of clinical practice.
What happens if I have an adverse reaction?
+Contact us immediately. All adverse reactions are managed in accordance with our clinical protocols. We document every case, follow up with every patient, and take every reaction — however minor — seriously.
Do you use genuine, certified products?
+Yes, entirely. We use only NAFDAC-approved injectables and internationally certified products. We do not use grey-market or uncertified products under any circumstances.
Is aesthetic medicine regulated in Nigeria?
+Yes. Aesthetic medicine in Nigeria is regulated by NAFDAC and HEFAMAA. BluOrchid Aesthetics is certified by both and operates in full compliance with Nigerian medical regulations.
What age do you treat from?
+18. We do not treat anyone under the age of 18 under any circumstances.
Are treatments suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
+Many of our treatments are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please inform your doctor of your status at consultation and we will recommend the safest course of action.

Can I combine treatments?
+Yes — and often the best results come from a considered combination. Our doctors advise on what to combine, what to separate, and what order to do things in. We never recommend combinations for commercial reasons. Only clinical ones.
What is the difference between a course and a one-off treatment?
+Some treatments work as a single session — Botox and Hydrafacial for example. Others produce significantly better results over a course — PRX Microneedling, PRP Hair Restoration, and Emsculpt. Your doctor will specify which applies to your treatment and why.
Are the results on your website real?
+Every before-and-after image on our website and Instagram is of an actual BluOrchid patient, taken at our clinic, with the patient's written consent. No images are sourced from stock libraries or other clinics. No filters have been applied to after images.

Can I bring someone with me?

Is my information kept confidential?
+Completely. As a medical practice, we are bound by clinical confidentiality. Your information — including treatment history, photographs, and health details — is not shared with anyone outside the Bluorchid clinical and administrative team without your explicit consent.
Do you treat men?
+Yes. While the majority of our patients are women, we treat men for anti-wrinkle treatments, jawline definition, skin treatments, hair restoration, medical weight loss, and more. The Golden Ratio methodology applies equally to male facial geometry.
